Donald Kent Alexander, 75, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012 at his residence.

Born October 16, 1937 in Champaign, IL, he was the son of the late Melvin Alexander and Lois Ehler Alexander.

Donald retired after 40 years of service with Westinghouse Electronics (Northrop Grumman Aerospace) as an electrical engineer for defense systems. His hobbies were train-watching and in later years, hobby farming with his son.

He attended Fellowship Bible Church in Shenandoah Junction, WV and Camp Hill Wesley United Methodist Church in Harpers Ferry, WV.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Terry Alexander, at home; one son, Jeff and wife, Cammie of Hampstead, Md; two daughters, Karen Burton and husband, Bill, of Woburn, Mass; and Marci Jo Ehrhart and husband, Don, of Pasadena, MD; eleven grandchildren, Jeremiah, Joshua, Luke, Troy, Hannah, Angela, Meredith, Michael, Mitchell, Madeleine and Marcus, two brothers, Dick Alexander and wife, Linda, and Jack Alexander and wife, Deanna, of Champaign, IL.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at Fellowship Bible Church with Pastor Van Marsceau and Pastor Luther Osment officiating. Interment will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, Md.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 pm at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry/Charles Town, WV.
