Mildred Lucille Boswell, 88, of Harpers Ferry, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. She has been reunited with her husband of 51 years, Bernard C. Boswell.

Born October 22, 1924, in Carlinville, IL, she was the daughter of the late Robert John and Mildred Rice Donahue.

She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, DC in 1942.

Mrs. Boswell was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by four daughters, Cheryl Bennett and husband, Wayne of Harpers Ferry; Catherine Heird and husband, Bob of Frankford, DE; Donna Gebicke and husband, Tom of Avenue, MD and Betsy Robinson and husband, Ted of Martinsburg; and one son, Bernie Boswell, Jr., to whom the family is grateful for his caring and love for our Mother as her primary care giver for the last six years. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Bear.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Donahue.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Chaplain Bruce Hanson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
