Andrew Michael Rotruck, 18, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2008 in Cumberland, MD.
He was born June 24, 1990 in Ranson, WV and was the son of Mark Allen Rotruck and Sherry Lee Ranalli Rotruck.
He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He was a graduate of Jefferson High School.
He was a member of Outpost 133 Royal Rangers and the Charles Town/Ranson Little League, where he was on the 2001 State Championship team. He was a member of the 2007 Jefferson High School Cougars baseball team, which held the state championship for 2007. He also played on the Cougars 2008 baseball team and Chase Utley, of the Philadelphia Phillies, was his baseball idol. Andrew was attending Potomac State College studying sports management and also playing for the Potomac State Cats.
In addition to his parents he is survived by three sisters, Angela Surratt and husband, Toby of Shenandoah Junction, WV; Brandy Rotruck of Martinsburg, WV; and Brean Rotruck of Charles Town, WV; maternal grandparents, Frank and Shirley Ranalli of Ranson, WV; paternal grandmother, Margaret Rotruck of Keyser, WV; one nephew, Jalyn Wright, two nieces, Talyn Rotruck and Amera Wright, eight aunts, seven uncles and numerous cousins and other family.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Vernon Rotruck.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Jefferson High School Gymnasium with Pastor Harold Newsome officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.
The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 at Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, WV on Friday from 6-8 PM.
