Alma Jean Danner, 90, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born October 6, 1934 in Harpers Ferry, WV, she was the daughter of the late George Wilt and Rosie Anna Mason Wilt.
She was a member of Faith and Friends Global Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, Class of 1953. Her church was a big part of everything she and John did, always remaining active in the Chestnut Hill Methodist Church. She loved her flowers and always kept bouquets in the church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynn Wilson and husband, Bill of Harpers Ferry, WV and Candy DeRonda and husband, John of Charles Town, WV, six grandchildren, Tara Carr, Lea Cooper, Matt Wilson, Elizabeth Holmes, Tony DeRonda, and Emily Hosby, 17 Great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John in 2020, her son, Terry Danner, four sisters and five brothers.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Bill Rowley officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith and Friends Global Methodist Church, 16 Hilltop Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.
