Andrew G. Dole, 64, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, at his home surrounded by family after a brave battle with brain cancer. Andy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who was deeply cherished by all he knew.

Born on June 4th, 1960, in Newfane, NY, he was the son of the late Lawrence "Larry" J. Dole, Sr. and late Margaret Tueschier Dole.

Andy was a retired Air Traffic Controller of 25 years and member of NATCA. He was a graduate of South Windsor High School in Connecticut, Class of 1977. He was a member of The Roman Catholic Parish of St. James the Greater in Charles Town, WV and the Knights of Columbus "Our Lady of the Valley" Council of Middletown, MD.

Andy never met a stranger and was truly the life of the party. In his retirement, he enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams, the NY Mets and NY Giants, attending sporting events and concerts, writing and playing music, and spending time with friends and family, including his only granddaughter.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Poplawski Dole; children: Rebecca Lorenzen Dole, Jeremy Dole; and Bryan Dole.

He was a beloved grandfather to Corinne Lorenzen.

Also surviving are his siblings, sister Catherine "Cate" Corwin and brothers Raymond "Ray" Dole, Lawrence "Larry" Dole, Jr., and Christopher "Chris" Dole.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J. Dole, Sr. and Margaret Tueschier Dole, and sister Mary Dole.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 49 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, WV with a Rosary at 9:30 am.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2025  from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M., with a vigil at 7:30 P.M. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

Following the mass, the family invites attendees to join them for a celebration of life luncheon at the church social hall.
