Obituary

Ann Virginia Ott, 88, of Halltown, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born May 30, 1933 in Millville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Raymond Williams and Agnes Rebecca Brown Williams.

Annie was the mainstay waitress at the Hilltop House in Harpers Ferry. She greatly enjoyed her work in the Alpha-best program at Shipley Elementary school. She often was referred to as the grandmother of many of the school children.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 1/2 years, Wallace, at home; one daughter, Sharon Esswein and husband, Lonnie of Martinsburg; three sons, Michael Ott and wife, Vicki of Charles Town, Larry Ott and wife, Tonya of Columbus, OH and Stephen Ott and wife. Cheryl of Winchester, nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, one sister, Margaret Young and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Donald Haines, Jr. and two brothers, Ellis Williams, Jr. and Donald Williams.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Scott Anders officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 -8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV  25430.
