April Alane Anderson Campbell, 50, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, passed away on June 1st, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family. 

Born on March 15, 1976, at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Norris Wright Anderson and Judy Shumaker Anderson, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life, and whose legacy of love continues through her.

April was known for her empathy and authenticity. She was a free spirit whose calming energy drew both people and animals in. April never knew a stranger, and whether she was in your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime, there’s no denying the impact she had on every person she came in contact with.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Campbell; her daughters, Ciara Campbell, Josie Campbell (Jaden) Baker, and Avery Campbell; her granddaughter, Maeve Evans; her sisters, Wendy Anderson (Alan) Mosholder and Julie Anderson; her nieces and nephews — Kayla, Danielle, Curtis, Joseph, Keaton, and Riley — and her great niece, Andi.

A Celebration of April’s life will be held at a future date. The family will provide details once arrangements are finalized.

Her life will be honored in the stories shared, the memories held, and the countless ways she touched the hearts of those around her.
