Asher Micah Paul Houston, an infant son of Taylor Bates and Dustin Houston of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

Asher Micah Paul Houston was born on March 19, 2024, and is the son of   Taylor Nicole Bates and Dustin Phillip Houston at the University of Maryland Medical Center. They dreamed and hoped with joyous expectations. Taylor and Dustin stayed close to their precious little one. During these brief three weeks, we read books to him and frequent touches from his mommy and daddy, grandma and great grandma. He was held close by his mommy and daddy. Family and friends deeply loved him. Although his life was incredibly brief, he continues to touch many lives and is still our little fighter. We will never forget the details of his perfectly formed little body; this memory is engrained in our hearts forever.

Asher was the grandson of his maternal grandma, Becky Shew; grandpa Randy Bates; great-grandparents Gary Willis; Greg and Patti Spencer, Royce and Linda Purifoy, and the late Daniel Bates; one aunt, Ana Crowell, two uncles, Heath Bates and Christian Shew.

Asher is the grandson of the late paternal grandparents, Paul and Mary Houston; great-grandparent Dorothy Roaques; one brother, Braxton; one sister Raelynn Houston; and two uncles, Matt and Robby Houston.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to the NICU unit of University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore.
