Aubrey Eugene Shores, Jr., better known to friends and family as 'Gene", passed away at the age of 69. Gene was raised and spent much of his life in Point of Rocks, MD and also spent time in West Virginia. Gene passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV on March 7, 2024.

He was the son of the late Aubrey Shores, Sr. and Ethel Shores Broy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Shaun Broy.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle A. Peters, and her husband, Andrew, his son Aubrey E. Shores, III and Jessica Shores, as well as his five grandchildren, all boys, Brayden (17), Braxton (17), Aubrey (13), Ashton (12),  and Maddox (10). He was also a husband of 17 years and lifelong friend of Rebecca A. Shores.

There will be a private service and celebration of life for immediate family only. Close friends are planning a celebration of life at a later date.
