Barbara Jane Clayton, 82, of Inwood, WV passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

Born January 31, 1941 in Damascus, MD, she was the daughter of the late Paul B. Woodfield and Hazel Rebecca Brown Woodfield.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Barbara worked hard to earn her CNA qualifications, and thoroughly enjoyed being a caregiver. She worked for both Willow Tree Nursing Home and the Jefferson County Council on Aging.

She is survived by three daughters, Rebecca Reed of Montana, Cynthia Reed of Inwood, WV and Louise Brashear and husband, Thomas of Inwood, WV; two sons, Michael Reed and Anthony Reed of Falling Waters, WV  nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three sisters, Ruth Day, Sandy Rodgers and Sherry Kunkel.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Clayton and one sister, Gloria Hash.

Services will be held at 1:30 on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Porky Jones officiating.

Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
