Barbara Kay Gilroy, 57, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away unexpectedly on December 29th, 2021; in the home her and her husband built together 25 years ago.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Gilroy; her two children, Sarah and Michael; her mother, Kay and father, Gary and her sisters, Jodi and Billie Jo.

Born on May 22, 1964 in Fairfax, Virginia, she was the daughter of Kay Farrell and adopted daughter of Gary Farrell. She married David Gilroy on April 20, 1991.

Barbara was a wonderful person and a beloved mother. She was the rock of the family, always there to help and never forgetting a birthday. She had over 34 years in service to the federal government, retiring at age 55 from the United States Geological Survey as an IT Specialist.

She will forever be loved and dearly missed by her widespread family and friends.

A small Celebration of Life was held on January 1, 2022.
