Barbara Dawn Welty, 72, of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away on May 19, 2026, in Charles Town, WV.

Born on May 30, 1953, in Martinsburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late William Edward Walker and Doris Lorraine Crowley. She was of the Methodist faith.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Wayne Welty, at home; two sons, Harlan C. Haines II, William R. Haines, and wife, Kristi; two step-daughters, Ann K. Cook, Jodi Welty-Robinson; two brothers, Jarrett M. Walker, Edward T. Walker; grandson, William R. Haines; five step-granddaughters, Emily L. Gilbert, Kaitlyn R. Kave, Kathryn Rice, Kaylee N. Cook, Marcia K. Robinson; one step-grandson, Chase N. L. Cook; four step-great-grandsons, Archer D. Rausch, Landry Rausch, Lyle R. Cook, Matthew R. Day; and step-mother, Gloria Walker.

The inurnment will be held on May 30, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., at Edge Hill Cemetery, 604 Hunter Street, Charles Town, WV,

A Celebration of Life will follow at 174 Tall Pines Drive, Charles Town, WV.
