Bernice Rebecca "Becky Dodson" Payne, 82 of Martinsburg, WV went to be with our Lord on Friday, February 17, 2023. She was under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.

Born August 10, 1940 She was the daughter of the late Harry M. Fraley and Edna Lee Farmer.

She was of the Pentecostal faith and loved telling people about her faith and sharing the love of God with everyone she met. She drove the church bus for many years while she lived in Baltimore, MD. "Miss Becky's home was the hangout place for most of the church youth group, especially on Friday nights and weekends. She loved her family and was always there to talk. All the grandkids knew they could call her anytime even the middle of the night if needed and she would talk and pray with them as long as needed.

She worked as   a hair stylist right after finishing high school and had her own shop for many years. She was also a Branch Manager for the Baltimore Sun Newspaper for many years. When she moved back to WV she worked as an Insurance Agent until she retired.

She is survived by two daughters, Niecee Reed, Merritt Island, FL, Martha Wareing and husband Jeff Pietz, Martinsburg, WV, two sons Jack Dodson, Jr., Shenandoah Junction, WV and Harry Dodson, Martinsburg, WV,  four granddaughters, Rachael Burke(Kraig), Jessie Larson(Andy), Alyson Wareing, and Faith Dodson, two grandsons Donald Wareing III and Jeremy Reed and four great granddaughters Nora, Brooke, Cora and Arianna.

She was preceded in death by her husband David Payne, father Harry Fraley, mother Edna Farmer, stepfather Marvin Farmer, sister JoAnn Kave and son in law Wayne Reed.

Services will be held at Eackles -Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Charles Donivan officiating  on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 1pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at  Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.
