Betsy Malone Barker, 69, of Charles Town, WV died Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born September 24, 1956 in Winchester, Virginia.  She was the daughter of the late Harry G. Barker, Jr. and Margaret M. Barker.

Miss Barker was a Program Analyst with Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF).  She also taught English at Jefferson High School.

Betsy graduated from Jefferson High School, Class of 1974 and West Virginia University, Class of 1978.  Betsy was an avid sports fan and loved her Mountaineers!

Betsy was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Piedmont Garden Club and Jefferson Memorial Park Tennis Program.  She loved spending time with her niece and nephews!

She is survived by sister, Margaret F. Christine, Long Beach, NY; brother, Harry G. Barker, III and wife Kathy, Charles Town, WV; nephew, Robert V. Christine Jr., Long Beach, NY; nephew, Matthew H. Christine and wife Carla, Zephyrhills, FL; nephew, Brice M. Barker and wife Jana, Denver, NC; nephew, Cameron L. Barker, Charles Town, WV; nephew, Bradley B. Diehl and wife Allison, Charles Town, WV; niece, Caroline C. Diehl, Charles Town, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Mary Barker Diehl.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 110 West North St., Charles Town, WV with the Reverend Bill Ball officiating.

Interment will be at Edge Hill Cemetery, Charles Town, WV.

Friends will be received at 10 a.m. on the same date, at the church.
