Beverly Elaine
Longerbeam
May 14, 1952 – August 12, 2022
Beverly Elaine Longerbeam of Conway, South Carolina, formerly of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Keedysville, MD went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Born on May 14, 1952 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Carlos Benjamin Giffin and Mildred Patricia Bussard.
Beverly enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved her flowers, bushes and birds and would spend hours sitting on her porch just to enjoy the beauty around her. She enjoyed her trips with family to the beach and the pier where she loved to just walk on the sand and watch the waves. Beverly's favorite place to eat was Captain Georges and she recently loved a good meal at Nacho Hippo. But her greatest joy and love was her children and grandchildren. She worked outside of the home until she retired to be able to stay home and have her "Nanny's Daycare" for her grandchildren and family friends.
Beverly leaves behind one son, Darin and wife Tracy Longerbeam of Boonsboro, MD; two daughters, Tonia and husband Robert Justice of Martinsburg, WV, and Tammy and husband Mike Shumaker of Sharpsburg, MD; two sisters, Deborah Cline of Sharpsburg, MD and Sandra Kelly of Keedysville, MD; she was the proud grandmother of Tasha, Hope, Matthew, Andrew, Robin, Travis, Elizabeth, Kyle, Lauren, Erin and Lindsy. She was also the great grandmother of 11.
Beverly was preceded in death by her soulmate, best friend and loving husband of 46 years, Sylvestor Leroy Longerbeam. She was also preceded in death three sisters, Christine, Sharon, and Joyce, and one brother, Edward.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 19, 2022 at Eackles Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Vickie Barnhouse officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.
