Bobby Zane Horne, 67, of Ranson, WV, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025, at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV.
Born May 21, 1958, in Marion, VA, he was the son of the late James and Dorothy Horne. He was of the Methodist Faith.
Bobby graduated from Rich Valley High School, Saltville, VA in 1976. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He became disabled in 2001 after working for the Titus Trash Service for 25 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Dolores Horne; one son, Michael Horne and wife, Lauren, of Smithsburg, MD; two daughters, Amy Housden and husband, Denny, and Lisa Martin and husband, Roy; three grandchildren whom Bobby and his wife adopted and raised, Lexus Horne, Bentley Horne and Mercedes (Bella) Horne, along with eight additional grandchildren, Maryanne Horne, Kaelynn Horne, Julian Walck, Makenzie Housden, Lillian (Lily) Housden and Huntley Housden, Liam Martin and Hayden Martin; and the first great-grandson, Gunnar, who is due in February 2026; three sisters, Dottie Malone, Bonnie Fowler and twin sister, Betty Strouth; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Lee, Duane and Charles Horne.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 4:00 P.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Dr. Henry Christie officiating.
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2026, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
