Bryan Robert Hedges, 42, of San Clemente, CA, passed away on April 2, 2026.

Bryan was born on September 12, 1983, in Fairfax, VA, to David Franklin and Margaret Anne Hedges, who predeceased him. He was raised in Herndon, Virginia, and later attended Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. In time, he made his home in California, where he loved riding his bike to the beach and enjoying the life he built there.

Above all else, Bryan was an extraordinary father. His son, Kai, was the center of his world and the greatest joy of his life. Bryan was playful, patient, and endlessly engaged—always dreaming up new adventures, making everyday moments special, and sharing his love of cars, bikes, and anything fast. He had a natural ability to connect with Kai in a way that was both fun and deeply meaningful, creating a bond that will live on in the memories they shared. His calm presence, humor, and genuine warmth made him a deeply loving and devoted father.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kelly Marie Hedges, and his beloved young son, Kai Bryan Hedges; his brothers, David Brock Hedges and Michael Brett (Jenn) Hedges; his brother-in-law, Kevin (Dalia) Khair; his nephews, Trey, Brayden, Cameron, Bryce, and Max; his niece, Shanti; and his grandmother’s Mary Hunt Hedges and Anne Simmons Weismiller;

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 2:00pm at Eackles - Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Shepherdstown, WV. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
