Dale Manuel, 74, of Charles Town, WV passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born September 16, 1949 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of Ruth Staubs Manuel and the late Calvin Mason Manuel.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town, WV.

Dale was a graduate of Charles Town High School, Shepherd College and Shippensburg University. He taught 5th and 6th grade for 32 years at Wright Denny in Charles Town. He served 16 years in the WV House of Delegates and 12 years in the Jefferson County Commission. He also served as an officer and board member of numerous county organizations.

In addition to his mother, Ruth, he is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years, Anne, at home, two daughters, Sarah Manuel Bonacorda of Martinsburg, WV and Martha Manuel and husband, Sebastian Engel of Knoxville, TN, five grandchildren, Isabella, Emma, Madelyn, Mia and Charlotte, one brother, Dennis Manuel and wife, Carol of Harpers Ferry and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Duane Jensen officiating. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 6-8 pm

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or the Animal Welfare of Jefferson County.
