Carl Franklin Viands, Jr.81, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born September 30, 1940 in Harpers Ferry, WV, he was the son of the late Carl Franklin Viands, Sr. and Helen Virginia Dillow Viands.

He was a member of Murrill Hill United Methodist Church.

Carl was retired from Fairfax County, Virginia after many years of service. He loved spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and watching the football games.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Charlotte, at home; two sons, Darren and wife, Mickie of Ranson and Stacey and wife, Kim of Summit Point; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Viands, one sister, Nancy Beamer and a brother-in-law, Jerry Beamer.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Murrill Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Donnie Jane Cardwell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm.
