Carolyn Peggy Ann Mills, 79, of Kearneysville, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at her home.

She was born February 26, 1943 in Brunswick, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Gardner Howell Giffin and Margaret Miller Giffin.

She was of Christian faith.

Peggy was a cook for many years at North Jefferson Elementary School and, later, at Harpers Ferry Middle School. She enjoyed flea marketing and the Haunted Halloween at the fairgrounds.

She is survived by four daughters, Debbie Heflin, Nika Barron, Tammy Bowling and Diane Mills; four sons, David Mills, Ricky Barron, Marshall Barron and Ralphie Mills; one sister, Ericka Blackburn; sister-in-law, Fay E. Virts-Fleming and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph V. Mills in 2020.

Services will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 11:00 am at Pleasantville Church of God, 928 Harpers Ferry Road, Knoxville, Maryland, with Pastor Vicky Barnhouse officiating. Interment will follow in Samples Manor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.
