Carroll E. Bond, 97, of Charles Town, WV passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Veterans Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Lee Bond, Children, Kathryn Carol (Katie) Figgers of Hagerstown, MD; Kimberly Bond of Myrtle Beach, SC, Suellen McGovern (James) of Mt. Airy, MD, Patrick W. Bond (Donna) of Medford, Oregon and Colleen Michel (Peter) of Millville, Delaware. He is also survived by grandchildren, Jacob C. Brendal and Madison Albrecht.

In addition to his parents, Audery W. Bond and Turner Bond, he is preceded in death by sisters, Audrey (Bonnie) Schneider and Jean Pelkey.

Carroll grew up on Old Gunpowder Road in Laurel, MD and went to a one room school there. He attended Laurel High School.

After serving in the US Navy aboard an LSD ship, he then returned to civilian life where he worked in construction, sales, real estate and Potomac Electric and Power, retiring in 1988. Carroll studied and received his ordination and led several churches in Virginia and West Virginia as their Pastor, small group leader and Elder. He loved working on his family genealogy and putting together puzzles.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 8, 2023 at the funeral home.
