Charles"Charlie" Frederick Workman, 75, of Charles Town, WV passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born August 29, 1946 in Sutton, WV, he was the son of the late Fletcher Workman and Freeda Henline Workman of Cowen, WV.
He was a member of Charles Town Presbyterian Church.
Charlie was a graduate of Cowen High School, Shepherd University and West Virginia University, where he received his Masters Degree in Education. He taught fifth grade at Ranson Elementary for 35 years, until he retired in 2004.
In his later years, he spent most of his time, hunting, fishing, attending Mountaineer football games and working on home improvements projects for friends and family.
Charlie enjoyed his family and friends and was known as a favorite uncle and friend to many people. He adored his grandkids and made them a priority in his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ann, at home; daughter, Andrea Workman and partner, Joby Weakland and his daughter, Faith of Towson, MD; son, Charles "Chuck "Workman, Jr. and wife, Amanda 'Mandi" Bullough Workman of Elkton, MD, five grandchildren, Brian and Andrew Bosco, Charlie, Kamryn and Jimmy Workman; one sister, Nancy Collins and two brothers, Gerald and Thomas Workman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Weese, Phyllis Moore and Hilda Jennings and two brothers, Edwin and James Workman.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Charles Town Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Bethard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV Monday from 6-8 pm.
