Charlotte Marie Viands of Harpers Ferry, WV, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at
Hilltop Inspirit Senior Living, Winchester, VA.

Born December 25, 1941, in Harpers Ferry, WV, she was the daughter of the late Elmer
Rodney Jenkins and Mary Margaret Wilt Jenkins. She was a member of the Murrill Hill United Methodist Church.

More than anything else, Charlotte was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Family and friends meant everything to her. She was the mom that you would hear, above everyone else, cheering her sons on at their sporting events. She was a proud momma, and you knew when she would give you a game recap. When her health allowed it, she loved watching her grandsons and years later, her great grandsons play ball. Charlotte loved to cook for her family and loved family gatherings. You knew you were getting a good home cooked meal. She always made sure to have all the favorites on the table. Charlotte was loved by all whose lives she had touched.

She is survived by two sons, Darren and wife Mickie of Ranson, WV, Stacey and wife, Kim of Summit Point, WV; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, two sisters, Marsha Lickey and Kimberly Smeltzer; two brothers, Warren Jenkins and Rex Jenkins. Charlotte shared a very special bond with her granddaughter, Chris Ann, and great grandsons, Kolten and Kamden.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 62 years, Carl Franklin Viands, Jr.; one son, Kevin Scott Viands, one sister, Lois Eileen Turner and three brothers, Roger, Bruce and Barry Jenkins.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
