Clyde "Bill" William Viands, 82, of Ranson, WV passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023 at his residence.

Born August 6, 1941 in Harpers Ferry, WV he was the son of the late Samuel Theodore Viands and Margie Dillow Viands.

Bill attended Bolivar Pentecostal Church. He was a member of Jefferson County Council on Aging, where he attended the Senior Olympics and received many medals. He was a member of Charles Town Moose Lodge # 948 and was a Boy Scout leader for Pack # 39 and Troop # 39. Bill was also a little league coach and a ladies softball coach.

Bill initially worked for West End Gulf in Charles Town as a mechanic and later retired from East ALCO after 21 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Joann, at home, two sons, Billy Viands and wife, Becky of Ranson and Kevin Viands and wife, Raquel of Charles Town, six grandchildren, Christopher, Shannon, Sierra, Kamryn, Jennifer and Samantha, nine great-grandchildren and one sister, Bonnie S. seal.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by infant daughter, Donna, daughter, Roxanna, sister, Anna Mae White and brother, Theodore J. Viands.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Bolivar Pentecostal Church, 87 Old Taylor Lane, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Eric Harding officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 6-8 pm.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:30 am.
