Cynthia P. Nocjar, 71, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Summerford Place assisted living in Hagerstown, MD, where she had been cared for lovingly for almost two years.

Cindy was the daughter of the late Edward and Theresa Nocjar and was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio, where she lived for 64 years before moving to Hagerstown.

Cindy graduated from Lorain County Community College and Ashland College with a degree in business management. She worked for many years for the Nordson Corporation in Amherst, OH and for a time at the Salvation Army in Lorain. Cindy never married.

She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lorain, where she was actively involved in their many church activities and organizations. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and actively participated in their hurricane recovery efforts. Cindy loved sitting on a park bench with her mother, Theresa at Lorain's Lakeview Park, enjoying Lake Erie's beauty while praying the rosary together. Cindy will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her brother, David E. Nocjar (Christine) of Sharpsburg, MD and two nephews, Aaron P. Nocjar (Bianca) of Darnestown, MD and Jonathan E. Nocjar (Megan) of Raleigh, NC.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at St Agnes Catholic Church, 106 S. Duke Street, Shepherdstown, WV with Father Andy Switzer as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
