Obituary

Dale W. Adams, 75, of Charles Town passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Born in Pittsburg, PA on December 1,1948 he was a son of the late Dale H. and Elizabeth (Everhart) Adams.

Dale was a graduate of Washington Township High School and Slippery Rock College both in Pennsylvania. Before his retirement, Dale worked briefly in the Loudon County School District. Prior to that, he had a long career in transportation with Consolidated Freightways and DHL. Throughout his career he lived in Ohio, New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, South Florida, and Virginia before settling in West Virgina. In his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his three yellow labs, Scout, Sadee, and Sierra who was also a certified therapy dog.  Dale and Sierra enjoyed visiting residents at an assisted living facility near their home in Florida.  He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and shared many stories, both real and make believe, with his grandson, Franklin.  Dale loved his family and was involved in many aspects of their lives.  He officiated his son's wedding and was a trusted advisor and consultant for his company, Quikcord, Inc.  Dale also enjoyed making regular trips to Knoxville, TN to visit his daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law. He was a proud husband, father, and grandfather.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 46 wonderful years, Monica S. (Novak) Adams; his daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Ritter and her husband David of Knoxville, TN; his son, Matthew Adams and his wife Ashley of East Longmeadow, MA; his daughter Heather Aguiar and her husband Jason of Freeport, ME; his daughter Holly Karolkowski and her husband Paul of Portland, ME; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Franklin, Abbie, Charlotte, Zane, and Oscar.  He also leaves behind his older brother, John B. Adams and his wife Mary Lee; his older sister Jennifer J. Budinger and her husband David; several nieces and nephews; and Sadee.

All services are private and will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Dale's honor to Tunnel to Towers or to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
