David "Thursday" Forrest Hamilton, 71, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away October 29, 2025 at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, VA.

Born May 31, 1954 in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late William Hamilton and Mary Baugh Hamilton.

He was of the Baptist faith.

David was a brick and stone mason for 50 years. He loved Harleys and enjoyed hunting, fishing and a cold beer on a hot day. He also enjoyed hanging out in his garage with his buddies and doing woodworking. Spending time with his grandchildren and family was dear to him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane, at home, one daughter, Audri Stillwell and husband, Josh of Harpers Ferry, WV, four grandchildren, Avery Hamilton, Zach, Gracie and Isaac Stillwell, five sisters, Linda Weant, Mary Lou Blethen, Brenda Gunther, Kathy Neal and Diane Spaulding, two brothers, Danny and Randy Hamilton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Joshua Hamilton, two sisters and two brothers.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Samuel Snow officiating. Interment will follow in Furnace Mountain Cemetery in Lucketts, VA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 4, 2025  from 6-8 pm.
