David Edward Gageby, 82, of Berkeley Springs, WV passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Born July 23, 1939 in Harpers Ferry, WV, he was the son of the late David A. Gageby and Bessie Potts Gageby.

He was a member of the Engle United Methodist Church and a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, Class of 1958.

David worked at the Ford garage, Badger Powhatan and was a school bus driver for Jefferson County, until his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed car detailing for many of the car dealerships in the area, dirt track racing, NASCAR, fishing and football.

He is survived by four children, Deborah Shade of Ranson, Ed Gageby and wife, Tammy of Ranson, Rebecca Dudash and husband, Bobby of Berkeley Springs and William Gageby of Berkeley Springs; four grandchildren, Christina Trimner, RD Gageby, Devin Gageby and Bryn Dudash; seven great-grandchildren, , one sister, Joyce Moler and husband, Tommy and  several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Charlotte A. Gageby and his infant daughter, Juanita Joyce Gageby.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Father Steve Stahley officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.
