Obituary

David Logan Glenn, 39, of Shepherdstown, WV died at home on March 30, 2020 from complications of a longstanding illness.  He was born in Portland, Oregon on April 5, 1980 and was adopted as a newborn by Susan (White) and David Michael Glenn.  He spent his first two years in Corvallis, Oregon before moving with his family to Shepherdstown, West Virginia.  He had many fond memories of growing up in Shepherdstown.  He earned the First Class rank in the local Boy Scout Troop 33 and became an accomplished marksman shooting trap and skeet. He was a 1998 graduate of Jefferson High School in Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia.

He was fortunate as an adult to be reunited with his biological family:  his mother Denise Guedon and sisters Chelsea Guedon and Gabriele Guedon.  They kept in contact and he was able to visit with them in Oregon where he was welcomed by an extended family. His mother and sisters wish to express that they loved him, will miss him and very much wish they had more time with him.

David Logan loved animals, nature, and history. He became a Civil War buff and an expert on guns, which he collected.  His rescue dogs Browning, Vito and Lexi were a vital part of his life.

He will be remembered as a kind soul by his parents Susan and Michael Glenn, of Shepherdstown, West Virginia, and Denise Guedon, of Newberg, Oregon, and by his sisters Annalia Glenn (Adam) Michelman of Chicago, Illinois, Chelsea Guedon  and her partner Cash White, of Portland, Oregon, and Gabriele Guedon, of Portland, Oregon.  David Logan is survived by his parents, sisters, and niece, Ruby Michelman. He will be missed by his friends, family and extended relatives.

The family wishes to thank all the people that enriched David Logan's life, including the healthcare providers and counselors that cared for him and helped him cope with his chronic illness.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial donations may be made to a local humane society as a tribute to his love of animals.

A celebration of his life will occur at a later time.
