David Lee Painter, Sr., 76, of Charles Town, WV passed away August 6, 2021.

Born June 29, 1946 in Ranson, WV, he was the son of the late Rev. Arnold Painter, Sr. and Evelyn Runion Painter of Harpers Ferry, WV.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

David was retired from Long Fence of Frederick, MD. He loved dancing and spending time with his family and loved ones.

David is survived by three daughters, Lisa Painter of North Carolina, Brenda Miranda of Texas, Denise Painter of Charles Town; one son, David Lee Painter, Jr. of North Carolina; former wife, Betty Jane Painter of NC, three brothers, Steve Painter and wife, Mary of Charleston, WV; Larry Painter and companion, Penny Scott of Harpers Ferry, WV; Allen Painter, Sr. and wife, Joyce of Harpers Ferry, sister, Linda Stickel of Winchester, VA; sister-in-law, Helen Painter of Harpers Ferry, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Arnold Painter, Jr. and brother-in-law, Tommy Stickel.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Danny Nick officiating.
