Della Hamilton Milburn, 89, of Charles Town, WV, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008 at Shenandoah Health Village Center at Charles Town.
She was born on April 21, 1919 in Frederick County, VA and was the daughter of the late Charles Welch and Ida Hilliard Welch.
She had been formerly employed at Billie's Restaurant at Ranson, WV.
She was a member of Middleway International Pentecostal Church of Christ for 11 years.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and mother-in-law.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Milburn and Charles Milburn and wife, Dora both of Rippon; four daughters, Catherine Combs and husband, Vernon of Winchester, VA, Mary Lou Chrisman and husband, Brownie of Shenandoah Junction, Shirley Robinson and husband, Donald of Fox Glenn and Linda Housden of Ranson; daughter-in-law, Virginia Milburn of Charles Town; 32 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Milburn, Sr. who died February 26, 1987; two sons, Paul Milburn, Jr. and Allen Milburn; two brothers, Eustler Welch and Noble Welch; four sisters, Lucille Burch, Gert Schrek, Marie Storbridge and Margaret Welch; one granddaughter, Mary Beth Shutts and one great grandson, Ricky Crum.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Middleway I.P.C.C. with Pastor Frank James officiating. Interment will be in Middleway Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vernon Combs Jr., Brian Combs, Ronnie Shutts, Terry Kelican, Richie Chrisman, Jim "Buck" Chrisman, Allen Shutts and Troy Kelican.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 PM at the Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, US 340 at Halltown Road, Charles Town/Harpers Ferry, WV.
