Delores Mae Cooper Nicodemus, 91, of Martinsburg, WV passed away September 30, 2026 at Harmony Assisted Living in Martinsburg, WV.
Born February 5, 1935 in Harman, WV, she was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Cooper and Ethel Brewer Cooper.
Delores graduated from high school and attended Shepherd University. She retired from West Virginia University Extension Service in Kearneysville, WV.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Charles Town, where she taught Sunday School for many years and a 60+ year member of Charles Town Chapter No. 128 Order of the Eastern Star, where she was treasurer for over 50 years.
She is survived by one sister, Linda C. Carter and one brother, Gary R. Cooper and wife, Joann.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Nicodemus, a sister, several brothers, a stepson and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, VA.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
