Donald William Runion, 74, of Kearneysville, WV, was called home on August 10, 2021.

Born August 7, 1947, in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Roy Runion and Sarah (Jones) Runion.

He was of the Christian Faith.

Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran; a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed his 1966 Ford Fairlane 500.

Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years, Patsy of Kearneysville, WV; one daughter, Wendy Contrael and husband, Mark; two sons, Jeff Runion and wife, Heather L., and Tim Runion and wife, Heather R.; eight grandchildren, Abby and Libby Contrael; Zach, Nik, and Makenna Runion; and Sophia, Lilly, and Isabella Runion; and numerous extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 15, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The funeral will be private.
