Obituary

Dora Mae Custer, 71, of Kearneysville, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, West Virginia.

Born January 17, 1950 in Harpers Ferry, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Emmitt Keyes and Marie Isabelle Harder Keyes.

Dora attended the Halltown Church of God.

Dora is survived by two daughters, Patricia Shamburg (Brian) of Kearneyville and Nettie Kain (Bradley) of Shenandoah Junction; one son, Gilbert Huff (Kim) of Kearneyville; eight grandchildren, Jacklyn, Amanda, Shane, Brandi, Patrick, Samantha, Andrea and Kayla; 18 great-grandchildren; four sisters,Wilda McDonald, Millie Mason, Judy Thomas and Brenda Fury; two brothers, Lawrence Keyes and Bruce Keyes.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Henry Custer in 1994; two grandsons, Kevin Huff and Michael Andrew Smith.

Dora was a very loving and selfless person who loved being with her family, especially her children and great-grandchildren.

Services will be on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 2:00pm at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV, with Pastor Ollie Baer officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
