Douglas Lee Grimes, Sr., 70, of Martinsburg, WV passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born December 29, 1954 in Littlestown, PA, he was the son of the late James Grimes and Genevieve Brown Grimes.

He was of the Christian faith.

He owned a successful HVAC business for many years. He had a passion for music and loved old cars. The person that held the biggest part of his heart was his granddaughter, Kerri.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gloria, although they had been together 47 years, son, Doug, Jr. and Christina of Martinsburg, two granddaughters, Katelyn Craun of Harpers Ferry and Kerri Grimes of Martinsburg, step- children, Sherri Bogley, Teresa Stewart and David Hilderbrand, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy, Patrick and Barry.

Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 6-8 pm.
