Eleanor Louise Dodson, 84, of Charles Town, West Virginia passed away at home on Friday, November 5, 2021.

Eleanor was born on March 28, 1937 in Blair, West Virginia to the late Robert Henry Piper and Annabell Bussard Piper.

She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Eleanor loved to cook and make candy. Her doors were always open to everyone.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd E.J. Dodson of 59 years, at home;  three daughters, Patricia Moreno and husband, Johnny of Millville, Brenda Eades and husband, Dewayne of Ranson; Tina Good and companion, Wayne Bond of Kearneysville; 9 grandchildren, Anita, Elena, Jonathan, Jennifer, Raymond, Rosanna, Zane, Calliyah and Travis and   13 great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great grand-daughter, Alexis and three sisters, Lillian Dillow, Josephine Holmes and Frances Miller.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
