Elizabeth Carter, 76, of Kearneysville, WV passed away Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born July 3, 1945 in Garrett Park, MD she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Dove.

She was of the Christian faith.

Elizabeth was retired from Sunrise Retirement Home in Gaithersburg, MD.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth "Litty", Lisa and Christina, six sons, Harry and wife, Deana, Tom, Oscar, Joe and wife, Juanita, Derek and Joseph "Joey".

She is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Carter, Sr., one daughter, Edna "Sissy" Staubs and four sons, Louis Carter, Jr., James, Milton and William "Bill" Carter.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 8, 2022 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Harry Carter officiating.  Interment will follow in Derwood Cemetery in Rockville, MD.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 6-8 pm.
