Ellis "Cookie" Norman Cook, 88, of Ranson, WV passed away December 25, 2024 at his residence.

Born June 23, 1936 in Shenandoah Junction, WV, he was the son of the late Ellis Guy Cook and Nellie Brookman Cook.

He was a US Navy Veteran, serving in Cuba from 1955-1959. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 948 and the VFW Post No. 3522, both in Charles Town, WV.

Cookie  retired from FEMA with 30 years of service. He was an avid bowler and Washington Redskins/Commanders fan. Cookie never met a stranger.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Nancy, at home and one daughter, Raelene Cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Wade Cook.

Services will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
