Ernest Dale Stitely, 57, of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Reston Hospital.

He was born May 1, 1965 in Frederick, Maryland and  was the son of the late Ernest Stitely and Flossie Faulkner Stitely.

He graduated from Mark Twain High School, Class of 1983 in Rockville,MD. Dale was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved playing board games. Most of all he was a loving family man.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Debbie; daughter, Shannon and companion Austin Bowles; son, Matthew Stitely; sister, Lavana Layton; two brothers, Tony Smith and David Stitely as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 11:00 am at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Bucky Chapman officiating.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
