Eugene Morison Dawson, 82, of Charles Town, WV, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.

Born on October 24, 1943, in Middleway, WV, he was the son of the late Paul and Ethel Dawson. He was of the Methodist Faith.

Eugene was a proud graduate of Musselman High School, the Appleman class of 1962. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, stationed in Washington D.C. He retired from 3-M with 36 years of service. Eugene was a dedicated baseball coach and was loved by so many. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one daughter, Tabetha Miller and fiancé, Keith Baumgardner; one son, Eric Dawson and wife, Renee; four grandchildren, Christopher Dawson, Natasha Fogle, Brianna Dawson, Haley Dawson; three great-grandchildren, Bella Horne, Harper Martin, Grayson Fogle; two sisters, Carolyn Viands, Paula Burch; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara, in 2000; his second wife, Sandra in 2023; and his brother David.

Services will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's.
