EVERETT S. RUPPERT “EV” or "EZ"  died peacefully on September 18, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.

Born on June 4, 1971 in Wiesbaden, Germany, he is survived by his parents, Raymond and M. Kathryn Ruppert, brother Christopher, sister-in-law Trina, niece Samantha and nephew Lucas.

Ev graduated from Plant High School in Tampa, Florida and earned a BA from American Military University. He was a manager at the Home Depot distribution center in Winchester, VA. However, he spent the majority of his career in the outdoor recreation industry in and around Harpers Ferry, WV, advancing from a river guide to general manager.

He earned many certifications including White Water Rescue Technician. His greatest accomplishment was the multitude of lifelong friends made on his journey down the river of life. His legacy is the passion for the outdoors that he cultivated in each of them.

Ev’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on, October 9th, 2026, at 11:00 A.M., at St. James Catholic Church, 49 Crosswinds Drive, Charles Town, WV, with Father Alex Paul as Celebrant, assisted by Deacon Dave Galvin.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the Church.
