Obituary

Floyd "E.J." Dodson, 86, of Charles Town, WV passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at his residence.

Born December 13, 1935 in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Hubert Lester Dodson and Flossie Ann Burker Dodson.

Floyd was a veteran of the US Army, serving in the Korean War and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a member of the VFW in Charles Town, WV.

Floyd loved to cut up and joke around. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and playing horse shoes.

He is survived by three daughters, Patricia Moreno and husband, Johnny of Millville, WV; Brenda Eades and husband, Dewayne of Ranson, WV; and Tina Good and companion, Wayne Bond of Kearneysville, WV, nine grandchildren, Anita, Elena, Jonathan, Jennifer, Raymond, Rosanna, Zane, Calliyah and Travis; 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Martha and Margaret and one brother, Butchie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eleanor, five sisters, Peggy, Joyce, Vanda, Mary and Janice, two brothers, Taylor and Dickie Dodson and one great granddaughter, Alexis.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor Bobby Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm.
