Freida Claudine Kidwell, 80, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born October 3, 1938 in Brunswick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Thurston Theodore Lincks and Hilda Estelle Darr Lincks.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Harpers Ferry, WV. Freida retired from the John Brown Wax Museum in Harpers Ferry in 2010 after twelve years of service.

Freida was a lifetime member of Friendship Fire Company Auxiliary in Harpers Ferry, WV, a member of the Eagles in Brunswick, MD and served 12 years on the Harpers Ferry Town Council.

She is survived by her brother, Carmen Lincks and Carrie Ann of Brownsville, MD; her partner for 25 years, Ray Howes of Harpers Ferry; brother-in-law, Stanley Cole of Jefferson, MD, faithful feline companion, Maggie and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Junior Kidwell in 1988, three sisters, Thelma Brawner, Carol Cole and Greta Lerch and one brother, Thurston "Gene" Lincks.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Pastor John  Unger officiating. Interment will be in Harper Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
