Gary Lee Franks, Sr., 81, of Kearneysville, WV passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024 at his residence.

Born October 2, 1942 in Gerrardstown, WV, he was the son of the late Lawrence Franks and Mary Elizabeth Keys Franks.

Gary  was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by one daughter, Shannon Dinges and husband, Dave of Kearneysville, one son, Gary Lee Franks, Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Spring Mills, WV, nine grandchildren, Caitlin, Bethany, Jesse, Cody, Allie, Dakota, David, Zoe, Aidan and three great- grandchildren, Charlie, Caroline and Hendrix.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane, one grandson, Zachary, three sisters and four brothers.

Services will be private.
