Gary Eugene Jones, 83, of Harpers Ferry, WV passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at his residence.

Born December 14, 1939 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Blanche James Jones.

He was a member of the Gospel Chapel in Harpers Ferry, WV.

Gene was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, Class of 1958. He was retired from Western Auto in Charles Town, WV. He loved the Tennessee Smokey Mountains.

He is survived by one brother, Benjamin Jones of Hanover, PA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Jerry Jones and wife, Rosemary and infant brother, Kenneth Jones.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV with Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Lutheran Cemetery in Bolivar, WV.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
