Gary William Smallwood, 65, of Ranson, West Virginia passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Jefferson Medical Center, in Ranson, West Virginia.

He was born April 6, 1957 in Ranson, West Virginia and was the son of the late Beryl Smallwood and Shirley Knott Smallwood.

He was of Pentecostal faith.

He was a sheet metal mechanic in the HVAC industry. He had a heart of gold and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Gary is survived by three brothers, Martin and Rick Smallwood and Mike Hurley as well as numerous family members who considered him as a brother.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Gary Smallwood and one brother, Harry Hurley.

Services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mission Tabernacle Holiness, 446 Mission Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425 with Pastor Paul Markee assisted by Pastors Brent Markee and Samuel Snow. Interment will follow at Edge Hill Cemetery in Charles Town, WV.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Eackles-Spencer and Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry WV.
