George Frederick McGinnis, 79, of Kearneysville, WV passed away July 27, 2026 at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV.

Born November 22, 1946 in Chicora, PA, he was the son of the late George B. McGinnis and Vada Trisco McGinnis.

He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy Atkinson McGinnis, at home, four daughters Debi Bell and husband, Shawn, Bonnie Fisher and husband, Danny, Stacie Bunn and husband, Patrick and Patti Deal, two sons, George F. Cypher and Gregory J. McGinnis, one sister, Georgia Ann Nolan and husband, Tom, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be private.
