Glenda Marie Barnes, 59, of Charles Town, WV passed away on December 18, 2023 . Glenda was born December 23, 1963 in Baltimore, Md. She was the daughter of Larry and Linda Barnes.

Glenda was a very loving and nurturing person, always putting others before herself. Despite any pain she may have been in, she always had a smile on her face and a contagious laugh. She brought joy to everyone around her.

Glenda was a graduate of Arundel High School, Class of 1982. She had a strong connection to her community and was actively involved with her church in West Virginia. Her faith was an important part of her life.

In her free time, Glenda enjoyed attending family gatherings and spending quality time with her friends. These moments brought her great happiness and created lasting memories.

Glenda is survived by her father, Larry Barnes, her brother, Keith Barnes, her sister, Angeline Thompson and brother-in-law, Joseph Thompson, as well as her nephew, nieces, great nephews, great niece, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church, 17 Somerset Road, Riviera Beach, MD 21122. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Glenda's life.
