Gloria Deene Meadows, 92, of Shenandoah Junction, WV passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at the Hospice Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.

Born December 3, 1932 in Charles Town, WV, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis Zombro and Ella Dunn Zombro.

She was of the Methodist faith.

Gloria was an office secretary for Harpers Ferry High School and later for Harpers Ferry Middle School. She also worked in the Board of Education office and the personnel office for many years. Gloria was active in the Bolivar United Methodist Church for many years, as well as in the 4-H as a leader.   She will be loved and missed, along with her apple pie.

She is survived by two sons, Craig Meadows and wife, Gretchen of Shenandoah Junction, Blane Meadows and wife, Teresa of Shenandoah Junction, two daughters, Peachy Diehl and husband, Steve of Shenandoah Junction and Laurie Koontz and husband, Mike of Mt. Jackson, VA,  fourteen grandchildren, Heather and Joshua Meadows, Jordan Diehl, Assia Currence, Brittany Koontz, Colton Koontz, Micheala Koontz, Taylor Koontz, Carmella Meadows, Frank Meadows, Russ Fales, Mauro Fales, Craig Deskevich, and Zachary Santoscoy; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewis Meadows, one sister, Shirley Lucas and one brother, John Clifford Zombro.

Services were private.
