Guy Thomas Whitmire, Jr., 78, of Charles Town, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at home.

Born on November 9, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Guy Thomas Whitmire, Sr. and Verna Muriel Holt. He was of the Christian Faith.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 30 years service. He was an avid fisherman and a die-hard steelers fan. His greatest accomplishment and joy was his family and being the "bestest" Pop Pop!

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Burns and husband Timothy, of Charles Town, WV, Cate McCarthy and husband, Chris, of Charles Town, WV; one son, Guy Thomas Whitmire III and wife, Jennifer, of Middletown, MD; nine grandchildren, Marcus, Ryan, Joshua, Sean, Huck, Kelly, Samantha, Jack, Theodore, one great- grandson on -the- way, Cameron, one sister, Debra Corrado and husband, Paul, and numerous nieces and nephews and all who called him "Pop Pop".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Samantha Kelly Whitmire.

Service will be held at 7:00 P.M., December 4, 2025, at Eackles-Spencer & Norton Funeral Home, 256 Halltown Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
